There are rumors in the political circles that Jagan Mohan Reddy is considering testing the waters ahead of the Assembly elections.
Buzz is that he is trying to force by-elections in Vishaka North and Chodavaram. Ganta Srinivasa Rao submitted his resignation against the Privatization of the Steel Plant.
The resignation has been pending with the speaker for a long time even though it is submitted in Speaker’s format.
Karanam Dharmasri recently announced his resignation in support of three capitals. But the resignation is not forwarded yet to the Speaker’s office.
Recently Ganta once again urged the Speaker to accept his resignation.
YSR Congress is trying to rake sentiment in Uttarandhra people using three capital. Especially after survey reports gave thumbs down to YCP in the area.
Both these seats are in the Uttarandhra region. But then, this can also be a blunder.
In Telangana, BJP lost the Munugode by-election. There is a message that people will not entertain by-poll forced for political benefit.
As things stand now, people are not taking the steel plant issue and the three capitals seriously. We do not see the sentiment yet. So, it can be a blunder.
Any adverse results here will tarnish the Government’s image and can boost the confidence of the opposition. But Jagan seems to be banking on the natural advantage YCP will get by the virtue of being in power.
