Vasireddy Padma has resigned as the Chairperson of the Women’s Commission. She announced that she would dedicate her time to the party in the election season and also expressed her intention to contest as the Jagayyapeta candidate if given a chance.
Jagayyapeta is the sitting seat of the YSR Congress. Samineni Udhay Bhanu is the sitting MLA. Buzz is that Survey reports point to a big defeat if the candidate is repeated. But then, Jagan is unable to find a suitable candidate.
Rumors are that Vasireddy Padma may be the candidate from here.
If this is true, it will be a big surprise because Padma has not yet faced a direct election.
She forayed into politics in 2009 from Praja Rajyam. Since then, she has been in PRP, Congress, and now YSR Congress. But no party gave her a chance to fight the election.
But with no proper candidate, Jagan may have to give her a chance.
Even if she has no chance to win, Jagan can do self-dabba for giving a seat to a woman and rewarding loyalty.
Vasireddy Padma even served notices to Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan as Women Commission Chairperson to prove her loyalty to Jagan.
Meanwhile, Blue Media is carrying out propaganda that Vasireddy Padma selflessly resigned from the nominated post just to help Jagan in the election season. But she herself announced to the media that she was expecting Jagayyapeta ticket.
