A woman named Vidya reportedly ran an Rs 18 crore fraud in the name of YSRCP leader Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy. The scam began in Seetaphalmandi, Secunderabad, where she lured innocent women with promises of high returns from a fake container business.
Vidya collected around Rs 18 crore in cash and gold over two years. Once she had enough, she vacated her Seetaphalmandi home and moved to a villa in APR Grandia, Patancheru.
When the women discovered the truth, they went to her house demanding their money back. Instead of returning it, Vidya’s husband Diddi Rajasekhar, his brothers, and their maid allegedly attacked them with rods, hammers, and sticks. One woman suffered serious injuries.
The victims later approached the Patancheru police, who registered a case and launched an investigation into the fraud and the assault.
