On Sunday evening, the list was finalized by Kharge and KC Venugopal, following which the four names were announced. A tentative list of probables was sent to KC Venugopal by Telangana Congress in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan and PCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud.

Though her name was not spoken of initially, she made it to the final list, surprising many. The talk in Congress circles is that ex Telangana AICC affairs in-charge Thakre had an important role to play in naming Vijayashanti as MLC candidate.

It is being said that Thakre promised Vijayashanti a MLC seat if she came into the party before elections. And now Thakre has kept his promise.

Though none of the state leaders proposed Vijayashanti’s name, she came completely under the high command quota, is the talk in Congress circles.

The talk is rife that soon Vijayashanti will be made a minister. The Congress high command feels that none of the present ministers are able to strongly oppose BRS’ KTR and Harish Rao.

The plan of the Congress high command is to give her a minister post and put a check to BRS. So, it’s just a matter of time before we get to see Vijayashanti back in action!
