You can now fly from Vijayawada International Airport to Singapore for just ₹8,000. Indigo Airlines will begin direct services on November 15.
The flight from Singapore will land in Vijayawada at 7:45 am. It will depart from Vijayawada at 10:05 am and reach Singapore’s Changi Airport at 2:05 pm, with a total travel time of four hours.
Bookings have already opened. Flights will operate every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Indigo will use a Boeing aircraft with a capacity of 180 to 230 passengers. The airline plans to increase the frequency to daily flights based on demand.
When this route was active between December 2018 and June 2019, it saw 80% occupancy from Vijayawada and 90% from Singapore.
With the holiday season approaching, the relaunch comes at the perfect time. Apart from tourists, the route is also expected to attract strong demand from traders and business travellers.
