We are just one week away from June. Wonder what is the specialty of June 2021? A video of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is going viral on social media. It is Jagan‘s speech in the assembly about Polavaram Project.
In the video, Jagan claims to have saved 830 Crore Rupees via Reverse Tendering. He also went on to say that his Government will be completing the project by June 2021. But then, according to the numbers available with the Central Government, the project did not progress even 10% more beyond what is done during Chandrababu’s regime.
And regarding the other part of the claim i.e., savings through Reverse Tendering. Only last month, Andhra Pradesh Government has increased the cost estimate of Polavaram Dam works by 1,656.61 Crore. That means there is no cost-saving through Reverse Tendering as claimed earlier but the cost in fact has increased.
The video is now going viral on social media and people are questioning Jagan on the promise which he failed to keep.
