The murder case of YS Vivekananda Reddy has been one of the central topics of elections this time. Kadapa sitting MP YS Avinash Reddy is one of the primary accused individuals in the case.
The opposition parties strongly condemned the decision of the ruling YSR Congress Party to give the Kadapa Lok Sabha ticket to Avinash Reddy this time.

Viveka’s daughter Suneetha Reddy alleged that Avinash was one of the key orchestrators of her father’s murder. Even Dastagiri, who turned approver in the case, confirmed Avinash’s role in this case. He further alleged that AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and his wife Bharati Reddy were also involved in this case.
Reportedly, Avinash’s alleged involvement in the case also dented his vote bank this time. On top of that, his cousin and YS Rajashekar Reddy’s daughter, YS Sharmila, contested against him in these elections. Her contention also affects Avinash’s chances, say the sources.

Meanwhile, the CBI court in Nampally conducted an inquiry about Viveka’s murder case earlier today. Avinash Reddy, his father YS Bhaskar Reddy and Devireddy Shiva Shankar Reddy attended the court hearing.
Four other accused individuals, who are in the Chanchalguda Jail, have attended the hearing through video conference. Upon hearing the arguments from both sides, the magistrate the next hearing to June 11.
