During the election campaign, we have seen Jagan Mohan Reddy troubling the pensioners by avoiding Door Delivery and making them stand in queues. Meanwhile YSR Congress did a Propaganda campaign that Chandrababu is the reason for their hardships.

In districts like Krishna, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, and YSR, the Pensions Distribution is more than 95% completed already.
That brings us to the Question if the Volunteers System is really necessary? Pensions Distribution is the main duty of the Volunteers. If that is done without them, why should the state spend
There are around 2.67 Lakh Village and Ward Volunteers across Andhra Pradesh. Most of them doubles up as YSR Congress Agents to collect the data of voters and keep them in their grip so that the votebank of YSR Congress stays intact.
About 1.08 Lakh of them resigned during the Election Campaign to work for YSR Congress.
Apart from paying out close to ₹1,200 crore per annum as honorariums, the government is also spending approximately ₹243.34 crore as cash awards to the 2.66 lakh volunteers as a token of appreciation for rendering “yeoman service” to the state.
With pensions being distributed without their involvement, that leaves us the Question – Why the Volunteers System should not be Scrapped?
