After issuing an ordinance to include 7 Mandals of Khammam in to Seema Andhra to facilitate the completion of Polavaram project, Center geared up to introduce the bill in to Parliament today. But Union Home Ministry backed out of it in the last minute. TRS leaders went on to say Government withdrew the bill as TRS is opposing it. And on the other side, Seema Andhra leaders said the bill was postponed to include 400 more acres in to Seema Andhra.
TRS have given a notice to the Speaker against the bill. The party has been arguing that the bill should be sent to concerned state Assembly before trying to change the borders of the state. It is said that Center sent this bill to President of India for his consent and will only decide on the bill after his decision.
