AP Special Status Protest planned on Republic Day was anticipated to go to a different level as Jallikattu did, as the protest drew a lot of attention from Social media and Tollywood. The main intention was to make it a nonpolitical event just like Jallikattu. But Pawan tried to own the event by showering tweets with support to the protest while Jagan even went to Vizag to participate in the protest which quickly went into the hands of political parties.

Whatever they tried to do, it all failed, as the government did not permit the protest in order to avoid any disturbances in the city, while the CII Partnership summit is held at the same time, which is being attended by representatives of about 40 countries. Pawan might have got more appreciation from the people if he had agreed with the government suggestion to postpone the protest dates which would have aided in the success of protest.
Now everyone ended up doing nothing but pushing people in dilemma with no idea on what’s next. Why couldn’t the protest wait for a couple of days to get the government’s permission? Now Pawan announced that he will sit for peaceful protest in Vizag in March. March is the time when students have final exams. Why are his protests are timed inconveniently or is it an early indication that it will get postponed?
