Konda Surekha Frustration Over TTD

Telangana Politicians coming to Tirumala are expressing dissatisfaction. In the last one week or so, we have seen Srinivas Goud of BRS and Minister Konda Surekha (Congress) express dissatisfaction about TTD.

They are saying that Telangana Devotees are being ignored in Tirumala. He even said that it was not the case with earlier TDP or YSR Congress regimes and urged Chandrababu Naidu to change the existing system.

Minister Konda Surekha even went to the extent of demanding a share for Telangana in TTD‘s Common Good Fund. Both the leaders made these controversial comments in the Temple Premises even though the new Chairman BR Naidu barred Political Talks.

Why are these Politicians so aggrieved?

More than the concern for Telangana Devotees, it is more to do with the Protocol Darshan. The TTD is trying to streamline processes to reduce Darshan Times.

Accordingly, the recommendation letters for Special Darshans from Telangana Politicians are not being accepted. Also, the Politicians are given Special Darshan but there is a bar on the number of people allowed with them.

As a result, the leaders are frustrated about not accommodating their followers and the people of the constituency. In the last term, Jagan Government used to be very liberal in these Special Darshans. They used to allow unlimited letters from Telangana Politicians.

Some of the Politicians even made a business of those Special Darshans. Former Minister Roja was accused of doing business taking 100s of people for Darshan and taking money.

So the leaders are frustrated about not having similar convenience in the new Government.
