The appointment of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chairman has sparked an intense political conflict in Telangana. Traditionally, the post is given to an MLA from the opposition party.

However, the Speaker’s office decided to appoint Sherilingampally MLA, Arekapudi Gandhi, who recently defected from BRS to Congress. BRS opposed this decision, claiming it was against the law.

In response to BRS’s statements, Gandhi argued that he did not wear the Congress scarf after being appointed as PAC chairman and claimed that BRS had no right to call his appointment unlawful.

Reacting to Gandhi’s statements, Huzurabad BRS MLA, Padi Kaushik Reddy, challenged that he would visit Gandhi’s house and make him wear a BRS scarf, as Gandhi was claiming he was not part of Congress. He also added that Gandhi and the other nine MLAs who defected to Congress should wear sarees and bangles.

These comments backfired against BRS, as many people criticized Kaushik Reddy for making such derogatory remarks and demanded an apology.

Earlier today, Gandhi responded by saying that if Kaushik Reddy doesn’t come to his house by 11 am, he will visit Kaushik’s house at 12 pm to settle the matter. Even Gandhi hurled abusive language against Kaushik in his video.

Amidst these heated challenges between the MLAs, the police have arranged tight security around both their residences, ensuring that neither of them leaves their homes.

Meanwhile, people are criticizing the language used by both MLAs, stating that it is inappropriate for individuals in such important positions to speak in this manner.
