The latest from neighbouring Tamil Nadu politics is that the ruling DMK is sending Kamal Haasan to Rajya Sabha.
The party is busy making the necessary moves. The idea is to send Kamal Haasan to the Upper House. In July, the terms of 4 Rajya Sabha MPs will come to an end and DMK intends to rope in Kamal Haasan for one of the seats.

The agenda of Stalin-led DMK is to counter star power of Vijay with the star power of Kamal Haasan.
Kamal Haasan toyed with the idea of a political entry by contesting in last TN Assembly elections by floating a party Makkal Needhi Maiam. But he lost and since then he has been busy with his films and productions.
