Opposition Leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy repeatedly maintained that he will go alone for the upcoming elections. But then, if the BJP High Command has its way, YSR Congress may have a Pre-Poll Alliance with BJP. Buzz is that BJP President Amit Shah is in touch with Vijaya Sai Reddy on the same.
Anti-BJP Parties are planning to have a Pre-Poll Alliance and give a memorandum to the President of India to consider them as a Single Largest Group in case of a Hung. This is because BJP will emerge as a Single Largest Party but will be far from the majority. Unless there is a Single Largest Parties Group, the President will give the Single Largest Party a chance to form the Government.
If BJP is given the first chance, it can always resort to poaching and horse trading and so, the Anti-BJP Parties are going to form a Pre-Poll Alliance. To counter this, BJP wants to strengthen NDA by adding parties like YSR Congress and AIADMK. But then, Jagan is not ready for a Pre-Poll Alliance with BJP but Amit Shah is serious about it.
BJP Broke up with TDP only after an assurance from YSR Congress. But the Saffron Party has become a Villain to Andhra Pradesh now. So, no party is ready for a Pre-Poll alliance with BJP. It is a open fact that BJP and YSR Congress are in an understanding. It has to be seen if Jagan will open up about it before the elections. He will have limited options since irking the Central Government ahead of the elections only mean trouble.
