Reports are that Narendra Modi is going for the first cabinet expansion in his second term. The National media is abuzz with the reports of the probables. They say the importance will be given to the leaders of Uttar Pradesh and Punjab who will go for elections next year.

A few berths will also go to the allies which may see AIADMK making entry into the union cabinet. However, the names of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana BJP leaders do not appear in the probables of the National media. Telangana has a sole representation in Modi’s team in the form of Kishan Reddy.
There is none from Andhra Pradesh. BJP in Andhra Pradesh is yet to open its account after severing ties with TDP. The party drew a blank in the 2019 elections. Its candidate lost deposit in the recent Tirupati by-election. The party supporters say admitting one or two leaders from AP would strengthen the party.

But there is no leader of a such stature who can influence the electorate in Andhra Pradesh!
