World Bank has released a report measuring business regulations in 17 cities across the country. Parameters such as starting a business, dealing with construction permits, registering property, paying taxes, trading across borders, enforcing contracts and resolving insolvency were considered when the cities were given a rank.

Hyderabad is ranked Second Best next to Ludhiana, in terms of overall ease of doing business. The City of Pearls has maintained its record in the ease of doing business by securing first place in two parameters — enforcing contracts and resolving insolvency — in this report.
Incidentally, Telangana state has secured the Second Rank in the Ease of Doing Business (EODB) rankings given by Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion along with the World Bank in a competition put between all the states in the country. The state which was in the thirteenth position last year drastically improved this year to secure Second Rank.
