It is a known fact that the Telugu Desam Party is fueled by a strong cadre and loyalists. The same is to be seen on a global stage now as a report from a well-established agency states that TDP is one of the largest parties in the world in terms of membership subscribers.
The BJP tops the list of parties with higher memberships in the world. Then comes the Chines Communist Party. The democratic party in the USA comes third.
Indian National Congress party comes fourth, followed by the Republicans, and Tamil-Nadu based AIADMK. Aam Admi Party also makes its way onto the list.
Telugu Desam Party is ranked 14th on this global list and it is one of the very few regional parties on the list. The very fact that a regional party has made its way onto the list of political outfits with the highest memberships in the world speaks for itself.
The 2019 elections might have had an adverse say on TDP, but the Chandrababu-led party is next to none when it comes to the backing of layists and one of the strongest cadres in the country.
