YCP cadre are facing legal action for extreme celebrations involving blood offerings on the occasion of ex CM Jagan. Police have started filing cases against those who performed animal sacrifices and splashed blood on Jagan’s flexis.
Authorities are tracking individuals who danced with butcher knives, sacrificed animals, and shouted rappa rappa slogans. In Dharmavaram, six people were arrested after cases were filed on nine. They were presented in court and later granted bail.
Residents of Regatipalli complained to rural police. They said YSRCP cadre created fear by carrying out disturbing rituals. They alleged that sarpanch Suresh Reddy and others sacrificed rams, waved butcher knives, and raised rappa rappa slogans.
Local police confirmed that an investigation is underway. The SI stated that all complaints are being examined and more action may follow.
The rappa rappa slogan has been controversial for a while due to its violent tone. Despite this, YSRCP cadre continue using it, claiming it is inspired by a popular movie dialogue rather than intended for violence. The situation has once again raised questions about responsible political behaviour.
