MLA Undavalli Sridevi expressed anger over the appointment of Dokka Manikya Varaprasad as Additional Coordinator of Tadikonda Constituency of Guntur District.
Around midnight on Saturday, along with party followers, the MLA sat for a protest at YSR Congress District president Mekathoti Sucharita’s house.
Sridevi’s followers expressed their anger saying that the MLA was insulted by the appointment of Manikya Varaprasad.
“Is this the gift for the SC MLA for supporting everything including the three capitals even though it will anger her constituency people?,” they fired on Sucharitha.
Sucharita convinced MLA Sridevi to talk to the party leadership. With this, she stopped the protest.
The leaders of the four mandals have warned that they will resign if the party does not change its decision.
YSRCP high command had sent a message that Sridevi will not get a ticket in 2024 and Dokka will be their choice. Sridevi is very much worried about this development.
