YS Jagan filed his nomination as the MLA candidate for Pulivendula Assembly on Thursday, revisiting the constituency as he did in 2019. However, significant differences were noted in the circumstances this time around, particularly in Jagan’s demeanor and his family members’ behavior over the past five years, evident during his visit to Pulivendula.

During Jagan’s nomination for the 2019 elections, the public meeting held at the CSI in Pulivendula attracted a massive crowd, with people filling the streets. YSRCP workers and supporters turned out in large numbers, with a significant presence of fans of Viveka, who had been murdered shortly before the event.

Five years later, the public meeting held in Pulivendula on Thursday, coinciding with Jagan’s nomination, displayed noticeable differences from the past. Despite efforts by YSRCP leaders to mobilize attendees, the crowd numbered between 2,000 and 3,000 people, a significant decrease compared to the previous nomination event.

The difference is striking when compared to the atmosphere during the 2019 nomination. At that time, Viveka’s murder was a prominent issue that rallied support for the YSRCP. However, with the case now shrouded in secrecy and CBI implicating MP Avinash and his father Bhaskar Reddy as accused, Jagan finds himself embroiled in controversy.

During the 2019 elections, Jagan’s mother, Vijayalakshmi, accompanied him to Pulivendula on the day of his nomination. She blessed him with a kiss before his nomination. Present during the event were MP Avinash Reddy, YS Manohar Reddy, and Viveka’s brother-in-law, Sivaprakash Reddy.

However, this time, Vijayalakshmi was absent from the event as she has already departed for America. Additionally, Viveka’s brother-in-law, Sivaprakash Reddy, was not present during the nomination. Only MP Avinash Reddy and YS Manohar Reddy were seen accompanying Jagan.
