The number of Coronavirus cases in Andhra Pradesh has gone up to 304. Before that, CM Jagan even wanted elections to happen as per the schedule saying Corona is nothing. Initially, when the cases are less, the Jagan Government used to claim that as an achievement for their Volunteers system.
But as the numbers soar, the Government fell into defense. Now, the party and its media house, Sakshi resorted to a new campaign. There are a series of ads in Sakshi asking people to support the Chief Minister. Along with Ministers – Balineni Srinivasa Reddy and Avanthi Srinivas, Lalitha Jewellers also gave a similar ad.
People on social media were mocking the ads as they say people should support the Chief Minister while it was the Chief Minister who should support the people at this difficult hour. Some suspect that this is an indirect way to pump money into Sakshi as the Print Media is severely battered by the Coronavirus with subscribers refusing the Newspapers and businesses not being in a position to give ads.
Across the country, there are 4,421 cases recorded so far, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
