Its okay to lose an election once we contest. Imagine losing a contest even before the election. It happened with YSR Congress in Narasannapeta ZPTC in Srikakulam district. YSR candidate, Shimma Usha Rani reportedly did not sign the nomination papers duly. As a result, her nomination is rejected.
Due to this, there is a good chance of TDP candidate, Chintu Shakuntala will be get elected unanimously. There is a chance for appeal against rejection but there are no hopes for YSR Congress. Nominations filing becomes a headache for all parties. In 2009, TDP MLA candidate Kadiri Babu Rao’s nomination is rejected and as a result TDP lost the election even with out contest.
