YSR Congress’ Mindless Defense of Jagan’s Tirumala Act

YSR Congress' Mindless Defense of Jagan's Tirumala ActJagan Mohan Reddy refusing to sign the declaration in Tirumala has become a huge controversy as the debate across the state is why he refused to sign stating that he has faith in the Presiding Deity of Tirumala. Bhumana Karunakara Reddy came in the defense of Jagan saying that everyone is equal before the Lord and there is no caste and religion feeling for God.

G.O.311 brought out in 1990 and incorporated in TTD’s act number 136 states that the people belonging to other religions must sign the formal declaration for Tirumala darshan. Bhumana questioned why TTD did not ask for a declaration from Late Chief Minister, YS Rajasekhara Reddy when he visited Tirumala for 26 times during his tenure.

But then, the answer should be very simple. It is how Congress during its tenure and Bhumana during his tenure as TTD made systems inactive back then. Defending the wrong committed in Tirumala will only complicate things for Jagan and YSR Congress.
