The YSR Congress ecosystem is in a very bad position in Andhra Pradesh after losing power in the previous election and falling to an agonising non-opposition position.
But that is not stopping the party, social media being from trying to claim credit for the recent electoral miracle created by Thalapathy Vijay in Tamil Nadu.
Since the last couple of days after Vijay led TVK to becoming the single largest party, YCP has been hyping this Vijay party and also projecting a sense of togetherness between Jagan and Vijay.
In reality, there was only one casual meeting between Jagan and Vijay before the election, and this was also at a private wedding in Chennai. But, immediately after Vijay secured a big win in Tamil Nadu election, Jagan’s social media wing ran to action and projected a togetherness vibe.
In fact, several social media handles associated with YCP are already tweeting that Vijay has invited Jagan to his swearing in ceremony tomorrow, but the YCP chief is unable to attend as he is in foreign vacation.
Political experts are commenting that Jagan himself is in a problematic situation in Andhra Pradesh after losing the election, so it’s farcical that YCP is looking to build a narrative seeming like Jagan’s image helped Vijay in Tamil Nadu.
Many people are writing off these efforts as YCP’s desperate attempts to stay in limelight by using Vijay and there’s nothing more to it than that.
