Uyyala Jampala reviewWhat is “Uyyala Jampala” about?
A boy and girl love each other which everyone else except them knows. Finally one of them realizes there love and waits for the other to realize. This is the overall story of the film that we might have witnessed many times.

How is Raj Tarun?
Raj Tarun looks the part. He has a weak voice but the dictions is fine and suits the milieu perfectly. This perfectly suiting the part also covers up the flaws Raj Tarun has as an actor that is emoting in emotional scenes.

Virinchi VarmaHow is Virinchi Varma’s direction?
Direction by Vrichi Varma is first rate. Among the recent debutant he has made the best use of the opportunity that he has got. He has a very simple story to narrate and he narrates it without any fuzz and flashiness. He keeps things simple and real, rooted in reality and this works like a charm in the set up that he has chosen. There are scenes which looks forced and predictable that is the only negative that has to be pointed out.

Uyyala Jampala reviewWhat about Avika Gor, Anita, Punarnavi Bhupalam, Peela Gangadhar, and others ?
Avika Gori has good role in the film and she definitely leaves her mark. In the important scenes she manages to hold the attention. Punarnavi Bhooalam has a small role and is noticeable due to the scenes given to her. Ravi Varma aagain has a small but important role that surely leaves an impact. He lends the seriousness that looks real and hence gives credibility to the proceedings without letting it become cinematic. Anita Chowdhary is fine and so are a couple of actors who make their debut with the film like the one playing the friend of hero.

Uyyala Jampala reviewHow is Music, Songs and Dances and other departments?
Music by Sunny MR is cool and peppy going in with the mood of the film but more than the music it’s the background score that elevates the proceedings. Editing and cinematography are first-rate too which in combination gives us a soothing and easy on eyes film to look at. The locations of Godavari side, especially the house holds are captured well which adds to the over all feel of the film.

Uyyala Jampala reviewHighlights?
The whole set up.
Realistic narration.
Crisp dialogues in Godavari slang.
Background score.

Drawbacks?
Predictable story lines.
Few rushed moments.

anitha-chowdaryWhat about its box office prospects?
The film has all it takes to succeed at the box office but unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be enough time available for it to sustain and grow if one goes by the release date. Ideally the film should have few open weeks to grow at the box office and expand its business which might not be possible now and hence hampering its box office prospects.
