Director Prashant Varma, in a recent interview, shared exciting details about his latest film, ‘Hanuman,’ which hit the screens as a Sankranthi gift on January 12. The film, featuring Teja Sajja as the protagonist, has garnered significant success at the box office.
Varma revealed that ‘Hanuman’ is just a part of a larger narrative, with plans for sequels and prequels. The movie introduces various sub-plots, and Samudrakhani’s character hints at Hanuman’s promise to Rama, setting the stage for future developments.
The director acknowledged budget constraints in presenting the villain’s role optimally in ‘Hanuman’ but hinted at unveiling those scenes in the next installment.
Varma also shared his decision not to announce release dates until the completion of the film’s shooting, learned from the experience with ‘Kalki.’ He announced the development of Prashant’s Cinematic Universe, with plans for 20 scripts, six superhero films in the first phase, and a commitment to releasing one movie every Sankranti.
In addition to ‘Hanuman’ and ‘Adhira,’ Varma’s universe will include Superwoman stories, introducing new directors alongside himself.
