The BJP is reportedly considering an alliance with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Jana Sena ahead of the elections. Opinions within the party have been gathered on this matter.
Majority of the leaders have suggested partnering with TDP and Jana Sena. Three national leaders have been appointed to negotiate this alliance, and a report detailing its pros and cons has been presented to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Discussions among the BJP, TDP, and Jana Sena have caused a delay in announcing their candidates. There’s talk that Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan might visit Delhi in the first week of January. The BJP is anticipated to declare the alliance around Sankranti, reportedly asking for 12 assembly seats and 6 Lok Sabha seats as part of the agreement.
