A defamation case has been filed against former cricket MS Dhoni by his ex-business partners. Mihir Diwakar and his wife Soumya Das, have lodged a defamation lawsuit against Dhoni in the Delhi High Court, following a previous criminal case filed by Dhoni accusing the couple of defrauding him of over Rs. 15 crores.
In their complaint, Diwakar and Das are seeking a permanent injunction and damages from Dhoni. They have urged the court to prevent him from tarnishing their reputation in connection with what they claim are “false allegations.”

These purportedly include Dhoni’s accusations of illicit gains amounting to Rs. 15 crores and a breach of a 2017 contract. The case is scheduled for a hearing on January 18.
