After several days of deliberations, the Telangana Congress has officially formed an alliance with the CPI ahead of the upcoming Assembly Elections. This decision was taken following a meeting between CPI leaders and TPCC President Revanth Reddy. As part of the alliance, the Congress has allocated the Kothagudem seat to the CPI and has also offered an additional MLC seat. There might be a friendly competition in Munugodu as well.
It has been reported that during the meeting, CPI leaders also broached the topic of an alliance between with the CPM. They have requested the allocation of a seat in the Khammam district for the CPM. Revanth Reddy mentioned that discussions are ongoing between the Congress’s high command and the national leaders of the CPM.
The Telangana Assembly elections are scheduled for November 30, with the results expected to be announced on December 3.
