Ahead of the Telangana elections, former cricketer Mohammed Azaruddin is facing legal issues. Four cases have been filed against him. It’s important to note that Azharuddin is running for the MLA position as a member of the Congress party in the Jubilee Hills constituency.
The accusations against Azharuddin involve alleged misuse of funds during his time as the president of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA). It’s claimed that he directed funds to third-party companies under the pretext of tender contracts. The Rachakonda Police have taken legal action and filed four cases against Azharuddin and some other HCA officials.
In the midst of these legal challenges, Azhar has asked the Malkajgiri Court for bail in all four cases. The court will make a decision today. After the court’s decision, Azhar plans to officially register as a candidate for the election.
