Prime Minister Narendra Modi has affirmed that if the BJP emerges victorious in the Telangana Elections, they will appoint a Chief Minister from the BC (Backward Classes) community. This pledge serves as a pivotal element driving the BJP’s campaign in these elections.
Responding to Modi’s statements, TPCC chief Revanth Reddy pointed out that the Congress currently has three BC Chief Ministers in power. He emphasized that out of the 10 states governed by the BJP, only one has a BC Chief Minister. Revanth Reddy urged Modi to appoint a BC Chief Minister in Gujarat before addressing matters in Telangana.
While the BJP has announced their intention to select a BC candidate as the Chief Minister of Telangana, an official candidate for this position has not yet been named.
