The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has decided not to contest the upcoming Telangana assembly elections. This decision was made after a meeting between TDP chief Chandrababu and Telangana TDP President Kasani Gnaneshwar.
Chandrababu expressed that he cannot focus on Telangana politics at the moment due to the current situation in Andhra Pradesh. He advised Kasani to communicate this decision to the Telangana TDP leaders and explain the circumstances under which they would not participate in the elections.

The senior leaders of the party are now informing the Telangana leaders about Chandrababu’s decision. We have to see if the senior TDP leaders lookout to join other parties.
