A hike in subscription price resulted in the loss of over 1.3 million subscribers for Disney+ in the last quarter of 2023. The losses were around $300 million during this period.
Disney+ users dropped to 111.3 million from 112.6 million from October to December 2023 (excluding India’s Disney+ Hotstar). Meanwhile, Disney is hopeful to add 5.5 million to 6 million subscribers in this quarter.

On the other side, Disney+ Hotstar gained 7 lakh followers in the last quarter of 2023, raising its subscriber base to 38.3 million from 37.6 million.
