With the Telangana polling date drawing near, contestants across all parties are intensifying their efforts to secure votes. Their strategies have reached a point where they are actively encouraging migrant voters from different states to return to their hometowns solely for voting purposes.
A substantial number of individuals from districts like Mahabubnagar, Rangareddy, Medak, Karimnagar, Nalgonda, and Nizamabad have settled in cities such as Solapur, Mumbai, Bhiwandi, and Surat. In specific electoral constituencies, these migrant voters wield considerable influence, prompting contestants to entice them with incentives to return and cast their votes.
To facilitate this, contestants are arranging special buses, DCMs, and lorries to transport voters from other states to Telangana. Each person’s transportation is reportedly costing around 1500 rupees, reflecting the lengths to which contestants are going to secure these votes.
