Karnataka’s Chief Minister, DK Shivakumar, has defended the Congress Party’s print advertisements in Telangana after the Election Commission urged the party to halt publishing ads in Telangana newspapers regarding the accomplishments in Karnataka.
In response, Shivakumar stated that the Congress party did not violate the election code. He emphasized that their advertisements merely highlighted the developmental works carried out in Karnataka and did not explicitly urge people to vote for them.
“We’ve showcased our work in Karnataka not just within our state but also in neighbouring states like Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu through newspaper advertisements. We’ve never solicited votes through these ads. What’s the issue?” he questioned.
