In a unique form of protest against the growing stray dog menace, residents of Greater Noida’s Supertech Ecovillage-2 have opened a cow shelter within their housing society. This move comes after several residents suffered dog bite injuries and alleged inaction by the maintenance authorities.
According to the residents, feeding points set up by dog lovers have only worsened the situation. Stray dogs roam freely across the society, and repeated complaints to the maintenance staff have failed to bring about any change. In response, frustrated residents decided to take matters into their own hands.

Rajkumar, one of the residents, stated that if stray dogs can live and be fed within the society, then cows should also be allowed the same treatment. A feeding area has now been set up in front of Tower C4, complete with green fodder and other necessities for the cows. The shelter aims to provide care for stray cattle that previously wandered outside the society.
Rajkumar added that the shelter is a symbolic protest, sending a clear message to both the maintenance team and those who continue feeding stray dogs. He also revealed plans to start feeding monkeys, offering items like bananas, further intensifying their protest until the dog issue is resolved.
