YouTuber Anvesh, known for his channel Naa Anveshana, first built his audience through global travel content. Over time, his content shifted toward delivering personal moral opinions. This change has now placed him at the centre of controversy.
A case has been filed against Anvesh by Karate Kalyani at the Panjagutta police station. She alleges that he aired controversial material and made remarks that caused discomfort to viewers. His recent video triggered outrage due to references to Hindu mythological figures Sita and Draupadi while reacting to actor Sivaji’s comments on women’s dressing.
Several Hindu and social groups say the remarks are derogatory and hurt public sentiment. Critics accuse Anvesh of allegedly speaking negatively about Hindu and Muslim practices while being favourable to Christian practices, which they fear could create community tension.
Anvesh has been booked under Sections 352, 79, 299 of the BNS Act and Section 67 of the IT Act. Vishwa Hindu Parishad has also filed cases against him in Tirupati and Visakhapatnam. The matter continues to escalate.
Online, people are demanding various actions, including a social media boycott and restrictions on his channel. Some are also calling for his arrest and for his return from abroad. The situation remains sensitive as public reactions grow.
