Lack of employment is perhaps the biggest pressing matter in recent times. Reflecting the same a Bengaluru-based software engineer, struggling to find a job for nearly two years, has taken to social media with a desperate plea.

The engineer shared his resume, detailing hands-on experience in API integration, web crawlers, and AI models, along with two prior internships as a product engineer and a technical intern. He mentioned his preference for remote work due to a family emergency but is open to relocating.

Reddit users responded with advice, job leads, and even direct hiring offers. Some encouraged him to explore hybrid work options, while others shared their own struggles with the current job market. One user, also a 2023 graduate, related to his situation, having faced layoffs and ongoing job uncertainty.

A similar case emerged recently when an Indian woman in the UK offered to work for free for a month to prove her skills before her visa expired. She had applied for over 300 jobs but was unable to secure employment.

India’s IT job market remains challenging, with fresh graduates and experienced professionals facing prolonged job hunts. Despite setbacks, this engineer’s persistence reflects the struggles many face in today’s job market.
