Golmaal 5 Release Date: Big Worry for Shah Rukh’s King

Golmaal 5 release date and King clash

The wait is over. The release date of Golmaal 5 has been announced, and it is arriving on January 8, 2027. Sharman Joshi is also returning as the lead this time, along with the usual cast. Akshay Kumar is playing an important role at the same time.

On the other hand, the release date announcement has started a new debate and has left the fans of Shah Rukh Khan worried. Notably, Golmaal is arriving two weeks after King, which means SRK’s film might not get a chance to run on the big screen for a long time compared to Pathaan and Jawan.

While King is already facing competition from Avengers: Doomsday, as it releases six days after the MCU film, the arrival of Golmaal 5 two weeks later has now added more pressure.

Fans of SRK also reacted on social media by questioning why every filmmaker has a habit of clashing with the superstar in any manner possible. A few even alleged that SRK was being intentionally targeted this time since the teaser of King has built a lot of hype among the audience, and other filmmakers want to snatch the opportunity of recording big collections for themselves.

A particular section also said that Rohit Shetty is doing this for the second time with SRK after 2018. Notably, during that period, Simmba was released a week after Zero and prevented the latter from doing some good business despite that it had a mixed word-of-mouth.

Apart from all this, the release date selection for Golmaal 5 has now raised some questions in the minds of the trade experts. For the unversed, Mahakali is releasing on the same date, and it has created a lot of hype since Akshaye Khanna is returning to the big screen in a different form this time, playing the role of Shukracharya.

Netizens also noted that Mahakali is expected to work at the box office, and in this case, the survival of Golmaal 5 might face a few obstacles. While some are advising Rohit Shetty to move the release date, others are asking the makers of Mahakali and King to do the same.

The final result remains unknown since everything will depend on the content and the interest of the audience. A gap between each film is necessary to make audiences aware of each of them. Now let’s wait and see if the makers will understand the situation and go for a compromise.
