A man from Kota, Rajasthan, has accused his wife of betraying him after securing a government job in the railways through fraudulent means. Manish Meena claimed that his wife, Sapna, used a proxy candidate to pass the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) Group D exam and later abandoned him after getting the job.
According to Manish, he took a loan of ₹15 lakh, mortgaging his land to support Sapna’s education and dreams. She appeared for the RRB Ajmer exam in 2019, but instead of writing it herself, she allegedly sent a relative to take the test.

After clearing the exam, she underwent training in Sirsa, Haryana, in April 2023 and was later posted in Bikaner, eventually transferring to Kota.
However, just months after settling into her new job, Sapna left her husband, cutting off ties with him. Feeling deceived, Manish lodged complaints with the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Bhimganj Mandi police station, and railway authorities.

Following an inquiry, Sapna was suspended, but Manish is demanding her dismissal, insisting that authorities verify her fingerprints and photographs from the exam to prove her fraud.
For Manish, the betrayal wasn’t just about the cheating in the exam. It was about how he sacrificed for his wife, only for her to leave him behind once she secured a stable future. Authorities are still investigating, but for Manish, the damage is already done.
