Ganesh Nimmajjan is happening peacefully and with fervor across Hyderabad.

Khairatabad Ganesh is proceeding towards Tank Bund. 1000s of idols across the city are moving for immersion. The entire ritual will be completed by tomorrow morning.

Meanwhile, Laddu Auctions are happening enthusiastically across the city. There are a couple of records already.

Ganesh Laddu has fetched a record price in Bandlaguda Jagir. The Laddu auctioned in Keerthi Richmond Villas got Rs 1.87 crore. The whole community in the villa took it together. In the past too, the Laddu here fetched a huge price. The entire community in the villa together won it for Rs.1.26 crores last year.

As many as 150 donors of RV Divya Charitable Trust purchased the laddu collectively and the proceeds will be used for service activities.

Kolanu Shankar Reddy won the famous Balapur Laddu by bidding 30.01 Lakh Rupees.

Both these prices are records this year. While Balapur Laddu was won by a single person’s bid, Richmond Villas Ganesh Laddu got the highest bid but it was a combined bid by 150 residents of the community.

The tradition of auctioning Balapur Ganesh Laddu started in 1994 when Kolan Mohan Reddy, a local farmer, bought it for Rs 450.

This is the ninth time Shankar Reddy’s family bid for Balapur Laddu successfully. He dedicated this to Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is celebrating his Birthday today.
