Gruesome details have emerged from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh where two men killed a delivery agent while receiving their order of two smartphones that they never intended to pay for.
Bharat Kumar, a 30-year-old Flipkart agent, was delivering two smartphones Vivo V40 Pro and Google Pixel 7 Pro, on September 23. Upon his arrival, the man who placed the order, Akash Sharma, and his accomplice Gajanan lured the driver into their house and strangled him to death with a laptop charger.

According to the police the duo were fuelled with greed to keep the two smartphones without paying for them. They tried to hide the crime by stuffing the dead body in the delivery bag and dumping it into the Indira canal.
Chinhat Police confiscated the two smartphones worth ₹90,000 that cost an innocent Bharat his life. Akash Sharma has been arrested and confessed to his crimes but there was no official word on the whereabouts of his accomplice Gajanan.

The cold-blooded murder has horrified people who are demanding strict action against the accused. People also asked for the cash on delivery option to be scrapped for such high-value transactions.
