Social media can be a toxic hell and often resorts to targeting minorities be it religious or regional. The viral case of Sharmistha is a lesson for the youth who indulge in unnecessary hate-mongering and get influenced by hateful political forces in society.
The 19 year old came into notice ever since India-Pakistan tensions where she started targeting Muslims. She even made hateful comments about religious sentiments and the Islamic prophets.

She even spoke abusively about SRK, Salman and Aamir which triggered their fans to troll her. After this she formally apologised and put down all her videos.
But due to the social media outrage against her, Kolkata police took her behind the bars on 30th May and she might have to stay in jail till 13 June as per reports. The entire case has urged people to question the real culprit behind these offences.

People are saying that it is the people who spread hatred for political benefits who are behind all this. They fill innocent young minds with hatred and those who lack critical insights get easily influenced and start spreading rubbish like Sharmishtha did with her hateful, abusive and vulgar content targeting one community.
