A Kannada actress has alleged that she was secretly filmed inside a washroom and later blackmailed with the footage. Based on her complaint, police have registered an FIR and started an investigation.
According to police sources, the incident took place during a celebrity women’s cricket tournament held recently at the Koramangala Indoor Stadium in Bengaluru. The event went on for three days and the actress attended the matches.
In her complaint, she stated that on the second day of the tournament, she used the stadium’s restroom. She later came to know that hidden cameras had allegedly been placed inside the washroom and obscene videos were recorded without her knowledge.
She told police that she began receiving threats from unknown persons who demanded money. They allegedly warned her that if she did not pay, the videos would be uploaded on social media.
The actress has submitted certain evidence related to the incident. Based on those materials, police have registered a case and are currently investigating the matter. Further details are expected as the probe continues.
