A global survey by Radical Storage placed Hyderabad as the 18th dirtiest city in the world. It is the only Indian city on the list. The ranking comes from traveller reviews on cleanliness, hygiene and pollution at tourist locations.
The World’s Dirtiest Cities list, compiled by Radical Storage, features popular European and global cities. Budapest ranked first, Rome second and Las Vegas third. Other names include Florence, Paris, Milan, Verona, Frankfurt, Brussels and Cairo.
The company analysed Google reviews from the top 10 cities considered in sampling. If a city lacked sufficient reviews, it moved to the next one. All data used belonged to the period between October 2024 and November 2025.
Hyderabad’s position shows a clear gap between official cleanliness efforts and the reality visitors experience. You see the ranking as a reminder that large projects mean little if on-ground maintenance fails.
