In a shocking news update, a man named Darshan Babu, a Karnataka native has faced grave consequences for his betting addiction as his wife died by suicide due to his unreasonable expenses.

Darshan, an engineer by profession and he got married to Ranjitha, 23, a native of Chitradurga. He has been addicted to IPL betting since 2021 and has amassed Rs 1 crore in debts.

Allegedly, Darshan had been placing bets on IPL since 2021 and he borrowed money to the tune of Rs 1.5 crore. In total, he has made Rs 1 crore in debts.

Ranjitha married Darshan in 2020 and the two of them had been distressed over the latter’s addiction. He used to take a huge amount of money in debt and was unable to return over Rs 84 lakh as he kept losing money in sports gambling.

Vexed by these financially stressful decisions of Darshan, his wife, Ranjitha committed suicide on the 18th of March. The addiction of Darshan has resulted in the suicide of his wife and this shocking incident has caught the attention all over.
