A tragic accident occurred in Alkapuri Colony, Puppalaguda, Narsingi, when a speeding car hit a father and son riding a bike.
Naveen Kumar and his young son, Kusala Joel, were thrown off the vehicle due to the impact. They were returning home after buying crackers for the festival when the speeding car rammed into them and fled the spot, crushing the boy.
Joel was rushed to the hospital but died on the way. The heartbreaking scene of the boy dying in his father’s arms has left the family devastated.
The accused, identified as a Software engineer named Praveen, has been taken into custody and is being interrogated by the police. Locals say reckless driving caused the accident and are demanding strict punishment.
Residents also urged the authorities to install speed breakers and take firm action against rash driving, which has become alarmingly common on city roads.
