PVR Reduces Price After Bill Goes Viral

PVR Reduces PriceNow, if you are a movie goer, you don’t just go to the theatres with the excitement to watch the movie, you also take a burden with you. That burden is the massive price of food and massive theatre chains are notorious for this practice.

1st of July, one user tweeted about the ginormous price of food in PVR hall and it went viral. The user even noted that just the price of the food was almost equal to the subscription cost of Prime videos for a year. This was indeed a win for OTT but it made other people talk about their problems in the theatres.

PVR is now trying to tackle the issue and this way they can again make people come to the hall once again. PVR posted graphics and in the poster, they advertised cheap prices of food. On weekdays, they are promoting ₹99 deals for food, and on weekends, the offer sounds more interesting.

On the weekends, they are promising an unlimited refill of popcorn and Pepsi.

Now, this will break the expensive food pricing stigma among the people and make the theatres more approachable. Going to a theatre is not just about watching a movie, it is also about the whole experience, it is about the time you are having. With cheap food, there are promises of a better time at the theatre and it might bring the numbers up.
