Salon Owner Yunus Khan Suicide; CID Enquiry Demand

A tragic incident in Rajasthan’s Jhunjhunu district has sparked demands for a fair and independent probe. On July 21, 2025, Yunus Khan, a 49-year-old salon owner, died by suicide near the Angasar Road bridge.

His death has left the local community in shock and raised concerns about alleged harassment and misuse of legal threats.

Khan reportedly left behind a five-page note, in which he mentioned feeling extreme emotional pressure. The note named five individuals including a former female employee, her family members, and two police personnel claiming he was being blackmailed and falsely accused.

According to Khan’s son, Noora Ali, the woman had been terminated from employment on July 12 for alleged misconduct. Following this, the family claims Khan was approached with a demand for money, along with a threat of filing a serious allegation.

The note reflects Khan’s distress, his fear of public shame, and his emotional struggle.

The body was found early Monday near the bridge. A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway based on the family’s complaint.

However, the family has formally requested that the probe be handled by an independent agency like the Rajasthan CID to ensure fairness. They also urged temporary suspension of any officials named in the note until inquiries are completed.

This incident highlights the importance of mental health awareness, the need for responsible handling of sensitive allegations, and the significance of impartial investigation.

The focus now remains on ensuring that justice is served both in terms of truth and accountability — without compromising the dignity of any individual involved.
