A very weird incident happened to a guy when he was falsely accused of being involved in a rape case with his father. The family went into shock upon hearing this, but later found out that it was a fake call.
The guy shared the incident on social media, and it went viral. As a form of awareness, he shared the complete story of what happened. According to the guy, his father received a call from someone claiming to be a policeman, stating that his son was associated with a rapist. The caller demanded 1 lakh rupees as a bribe to clear his name.
Upon hearing this, his father panicked. However, after contacting his son, he realized that it was a fake case. Even the phone number began with +92, which is the ISD code of Pakistan.
Such cases are quite common these days. Another incident mentioned in the comment section of that post says that these scammers call people using Pakistan’s ISD. People get panicked and pay money to clear their names from any mishap. We must understand that bribery is a crime, and we must check twice before reacting to anything suspicious, even if it is from a purported official source.
My father got a call from this number, with a dp of a police officer claiming I have been caught with a rapist and to protect me from media and FIR, he will need to pay him 1 lakh. At that exact moment, my number wasn't reachable.
